Dr Meadows was great. He drew more lab work for me which was able to get me a referral to the specialized MD based on these results. I had previously been to the Lynchburg ER for a nine hour visit that previous weekend which was awful. He did more for me in 30 minutes than they did for me the entire ER visit.

His quick assessment was more than likely accurate as Dr. Meadows is a good doctor who I've always had good experiences with (and who am I to question with zero medical training?), but to some degree I felt I wasn't listened to and as if, since it was late afternoon appt on a Friday, he just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible.

Dr Meadows is always very thorough in covering medications and discussing any side affects that I might have. I have several acute problems and we cover what has changed. This visit I had surgery and he asked about the notes that he had received. He also checked my incision.

Not happy about the call back when I picked up a Cough I asked for certain medication that I know works with me. I did not get it. He gave me the Z-Pak instead I had said [...] the Z-Pak does not work for me. I've used it in the past.

As I stated before, Dr. Meadows is a hands-on physician concerning coordination of care between his office & all the specialist I must see yearly. I feel I get good care on all fronts without redundancy of bloodwork and other tests. I appreciate his being involved with every level of my care. One specialist may not know what the other has ordered, but Dr. Meadows does.

It's very important to me to listen and comprehend what my Physician is saying or explaining with the rational. It is equally important to me to be heard with the respect given to voice my concerns and input. I feel that the interactive dynamics were mutual, easy, kind, respectful, and productive.

Dr. Meadows is always friendly, polite, and very precise and thorough. He makes sure to explain issues and treatment plan so it is completely understand.
- 1 out of 5 starsReviewed on 9/23/2025
Dr Meadows appeared to be in a hurry, was very upset regarding discussion about one of my prescriptions,, said he did not have time to take care of my needs regarding this prescription and abruptly left on anger and would not listen to my suggestions. I still had other health questions, but was unable to talk about them because he left. He also looked at his watch while examining me, and did not help me down from table. I am 87 years old, am inclined to fall, and not comfortable stepping down without assistance. I have changed providers and would never recommend Dr Meadows to anyone. He has a terrible bedside manner and never smiles. I have hung in with him for over five years because he always gave good advice, but this time he was both rude and arrogant. I left in tears and was extremely upset by his actions.

- 5 out of 5 starsReviewed on 8/10/2025
Dr Meadows has always provided comprehensive evaluations, treatment options and a thorough follow up plan. I'm appreciative of the continuity of my health care over 40 plus years. While providers seem to be under pressure to conform to "timed" face to face patient visits, my experience has never felt rushed.
