Dr. Kalafian was EXCELLENT!! Even though I was there for a cardiac appointment, he had seen, In my chart, that the broncoscopy I had had 2 days before that, showed that I had a lung Infection! I also had a very bad cough. When I asked him to please check me thoroughly to make sure I had no cardiac Issues, he said he would, but only when I was more healthy. Meanwhile, he prescribed a strong cough medicine for me and then he suggested I should go to the Pulmonary Associates office on my way home to request that they put me on an antibiotic Immediately and not have to wait 4 more days for my appointment with [...]. First, I thought It was very sad that I had not even heard from Pulmonary about my Infection but much more Impressive was the fact that Dr. Kalafian was so concerned about my condition, even though It was Pulmonary's responsibility! How lucky I am to have Dr. Kalafian for my physician-so caring and concerned that I receive proper treatment Immediately. This fact Is even more Important when I learned that I have probably had this lung condition for at least a year-complained about my numerous symptoms, and very little attention from Pulmonary!

Interesting observing the evolution of Dr. Kalafian's thoughts about "the best next steps" as he noted each different bit of info in my chart. I admire how those in the medical field have to try to make sense of scattered bits of a puzzle, on the fly!
